Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data PredictXI collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the service, and we never sell your personal information.
Who we are
PredictXI ("we", "us") is an independent football statistics service operated in Nigeria, at https://predictxi.site. For any privacy question, contact support@predictxi.site.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Subscription information: your plan (Free or Pro), start and expiry dates, and a reference for each payment. Payments themselves are handled by Paystack.
- Technical and security data: limited log information such as your IP address, browser type and timestamps, used to keep accounts secure, prevent abuse and apply rate limits.
- Newsletter & engagement data: if you subscribe, your email, chosen frequency and basic email engagement (opens and clicks); and, if signed in, the news stories you save. See “Newsletter & email analytics” below.
Payments
Pro subscriptions are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment provider. Your card or bank details are entered on Paystack's secure checkout and are handled by Paystack — PredictXI never sees or stores your full card details. We only receive confirmation of a successful payment and a transaction reference. Paystack processes your data under its own privacy policy.
How we use your data
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To verify your email address and send essential account emails (verification, password reset).
- To provide and manage your Free or Pro access.
- To protect the service against fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Newsletter & email analytics
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address, your chosen frequency and your subscription status. To understand whether our emails are useful, we measure basic engagement:
- Opens: our newsletter emails include a small (1×1 pixel) image that, when loaded, tells us the email was opened. Many email apps block this by default.
- Clicks: links in the newsletter pass through our site first so we can count which stories are clicked, before redirecting you to the original publisher.
This is aggregate engagement measurement tied to your subscription, not advertising or cross-site tracking. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all of it.
News feed & on-site activity
Our News & Feeds section aggregates public football headlines from third-party publishers and links back to them; we don't host their articles. When you tap a story we record an anonymous click so we can show a “Trending” list — this is counted in aggregate and isn't tied to your identity. If you're signed in, any stories you save for later are stored against your account so you can find them again. If you opt in to web push notifications, we store the browser subscription needed to send them; you can turn these off at any time in your browser or account settings.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in during your session. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. If you disable cookies, you will not be able to log in.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary with service providers that help us operate: our hosting provider (to run the site), Paystack (to process payments), and our email delivery mechanism (to send account emails). We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your data.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we must retain limited records (for example, a payment reference) to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Security
Passwords are hashed, the site is served over HTTPS, and we apply protections such as CSRF tokens, rate limiting and secure session cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@predictxi.site.
Children
PredictXI is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
